Death By Coaster?

Our society has a weird relationship, or should I say hang up? About death. In america we will fight to the bitter end for a humane ways to ease our pet’s suffering in old age, but when it comes to people….Americans are less apt to seek out euthanasia.

Here in Michigan, we had Dr. Jack Kevorkian who was trying to help people with mortal diseases end things on their terms and not the disease’s. It became an issue of morality and not an issue of a person’s rights to do what they wanted with their own life. Hell, even religion restricts your choices when it comes to ending your life. It’s a one way ticket to Hell, no matter what you’re going through or the mountain of debt and strife you’ll cause your family.

Yes the topic of euthanasia is not a fun one, but now it can be! Introducing the Euthanasia Coaster designed by a Lithuanian engineer named Julijonas Urbonas. Imagine it, you’ve been convicted of multiple murders and given the death penalty. The judge hands down your sentence and says “Death By Rollercoaster” which to me sounds better than getting tea-cupped to death.

The ride that lasts just 3 minutes, the first two are spent slowly climbing a very steep hill. Once at the top, you apparently would still have a chance to make the ultimate decision of your life, to live or to die. If you choose the latter (why would you ride this thing otherwise?), and you will go hurtling toward the ground at a high speed, then made to travel through a quick series of loops. The spinning motion would create a centrifugal force that makes all the blood rush away from the brain, and insufficient oxygen would ultimately lead to death.
